And the Chevelle SS connection is seen in the back with the boxed trailing arms and rear sway bar. The three-speed automatic transmission feeds a stout 12-bolt rear end. It's a strong-running total package, and there's a deep rumble from the dual exhaust. This has an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Holley aluminum intake, and long tube headers. But what you'll really like about the motor are the go-fast goodies attached. There are even the right supporting components, like an HEI ignition, Optima red top battery, and an aluminum radiator. It has all the proper pieces for you to show it off, like the shining valve covers and air topper with callouts. And while you have the upgraded tunes of the AM/FM/CD stereo, we really know your favorite soundtrack begins under the hood.Ī proper SS396-style machine needs 396 cubic inches of big block power. This is the kind of classic that's built for driving, so you have nice extras, like a tilt steering column and auxiliary readouts. The door panels, carpeting, and dash are all looking nice and finished in a tasteful black or blue to give this a well-done and colorful package. After all, the factory never gave you black seats with attractive and comfy blue cloth inserts. This is the kind of classic that's built for. You'll even love the custom details, like the Chevy bow tie exhaust tips, and the dual pop-out sunroofs that give this an almost T-top style feeling. This continues its sporty side with the dual power bulges in the hood and 14-inch Mag-style SS wheels. Plus, it all coordinates with the aerodynamic tonneau cover and the black liner paint protecting the bed underneath it. It's a nice SS touch that goes well with the blacked-out Super Sport grille and rear panel. We all love the look of those painted black stripes against the blue. It makes for added distinction, and you'll see there have been plenty of added investments all around this car for more distinction. The factory Azure Turquoise was traded in for a deeper shade of blue. 396 V8, TH350 AUTO, PWR BRAKES/STEER, EXCELLENT COLOR COMBO, RUNS & DRIVES GREATīig block power, a proper Super Sport look, and cool extras (like a sunroof) make this 1969 Chevrolet El Camino a true standout classic.
